Deveur Labs LLC ("Deveur Labs", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal information when you use our websites, mobile applications, and digital services, including Genius, published on the App Store as genius-memory (collectively, the "Services").
By using the Services, you acknowledge that we process your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in the following categories, depending on how you use the Services.
Account and identity information
- Firebase user ID or other account identifier.
- Email address.
- Display name or username.
- Sign-in provider information, such as Apple or Google sign-in identifiers where applicable.
- Account creation date, last active date, and account status.
Profile and learning information
- Profile details you choose to provide, such as first name, last name, country, gender, age or birth date, education level, occupation, preferred languages, interests, and learning goals.
- Learning preferences, knowledge themes, revision state, progress, favorites, scores, and activity related to cards, quizzes, reminders, or learning sessions.
- Friendship, partner, or sharing relationships if you use social or sharing features.
User content
- Text you create, import, type, upload, or share in the app, including cards, notes, prompts, messages, revision chat messages, bug reports, support messages, and learning content.
- Images you upload, such as profile photos, bug report screenshots, or other app-related images.
- Audio or speech-related content where you choose to use audio, microphone, speech recognition, or generated audio features.
- URLs, file metadata, timestamps, and technical metadata associated with uploaded content.
AI interaction data
- Prompts, instructions, messages, images, audio inputs, or other content you submit to AI features.
- AI-generated responses, summaries, cards, explanations, quizzes, or other generated output.
- Technical metadata about AI requests, such as request ID, model used, status, timing, and usage limits.
Do not submit sensitive personal information, confidential information, or content that you do not have the right to use unless it is necessary for the feature you are using.
Device, app, and usage data
- Device type, operating system version, app version, locale, language, timezone, and general technical environment.
- Feature usage, navigation events, session-related metadata, app performance, diagnostics, crash reports, and error logs.
- Push notification tokens and notification preferences.
- Local permission status for camera, microphone, photos, speech recognition, and notifications where the app needs to display or manage those permissions.
Payment and subscription information
Payments and subscriptions are processed by official app marketplaces, such as the Apple App Store. We do not directly collect or store your full payment card information.
We may receive or store subscription-related metadata necessary to provide paid features, such as subscription tier, product identifier, transaction status, entitlement status, expiration date, renewal status, and marketplace-related identifiers.
Support and communications
If you contact us, we may collect your email address, message content, attachments, diagnostic information, and any other information you choose to include.
3. How we use information
- Create, authenticate, and manage user accounts.
- Provide, operate, personalize, and improve the Services.
- Save and synchronize your profile, learning progress, preferences, and user content.
- Provide AI-powered features and generate educational content.
- Process subscriptions, manage entitlements, and enforce usage limits.
- Provide customer support and respond to requests.
- Send service-related communications, such as account, security, support, or product notices.
- Send push notifications if you enable them.

4. AI service providers
Some features rely on third-party AI providers, including OpenAI, to process prompts, messages, images, audio, and other content you submit to AI-powered features.
We send only the information needed to provide the requested AI feature. AI providers process this information according to their own policies and the contractual terms applicable to our use of their services.
AI-generated output may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing generated output before relying on it.

We may update this list as our Services evolve.
6. Analytics, tracking, and advertising
We do not sell personal information for money.
We do not intentionally use advertising pixels or cross-context behavioral advertising tools in the Services unless disclosed in this Privacy Policy. If we add marketing analytics, retargeting pixels, or advertising integrations in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required controls.
We may use analytics, crash reporting, and diagnostics tools to understand usage, improve reliability, and fix bugs. These providers may process technical and usage data on our behalf.

- With app marketplaces for purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and entitlement management.
- With AI providers when you use AI-powered features.
- With other users only when you choose to use sharing, friendship, collaboration, or public features.
- To comply with legal obligations, court orders, lawful requests, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
We do not authorize service providers to use your information for their own independent marketing purposes.
9. User content and sharing
You are responsible for the content you create, upload, import, or share through the Services. If you share content with another user, that user may be able to view, save, or interact with the shared content depending on the feature.
Please do not upload or share content that you do not have the right to use, including copyrighted material, private information of others, or unlawful content.
10. Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security.
- Account and profile data: retained while your account is active, then deleted or anonymized after account deletion unless retention is legally required.
- Learning content and progress: retained while your account is active or until you delete relevant content, where deletion tools are available.
- AI logs and request metadata: retained as needed for service operation, abuse prevention, debugging, and product improvement.
- Crash, diagnostic, and security logs: retained for a limited period needed to diagnose issues, maintain security, and comply with operational requirements.
- Subscription records: retained as needed to provide entitlements and comply with accounting, tax, or marketplace requirements.
- Support communications: retained as needed to respond to requests and maintain business records.
11. Account deletion
You may request deletion of your account through the app or by contacting us at contact@deveurlabs.com.
When your account is deleted, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize personal information associated with your account in our backend systems. Some information may remain where required by law, needed for security or fraud prevention, stored in backups for a limited period, or controlled by third-party platforms such as Apple, Google, Firebase, or OpenAI under their own retention rules.
12. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, object, withdraw consent, opt out of certain sharing or sale of personal information, or appeal a privacy request decision where applicable law provides such a right.

13. California privacy notice
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act may provide additional rights, including the right to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, and limit use of sensitive personal information.
We do not sell personal information for money. If we determine that any analytics, advertising, or tracking activity qualifies as a "sale" or "sharing" under California law, we will provide the required notice and opt-out mechanism.
14. International transfers
Deveur Labs LLC is based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual commitments or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
15. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. However, no internet or electronic storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
16. Children privacy
The Services are not intended for children under 13, or the minimum age required by applicable law. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without required consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. If you are under 18, you should use the Services only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
17. Marketing emails
We may send service-related emails that are necessary for the Services. If we send marketing emails in the future, we will include required unsubscribe mechanisms and sender information.
